Thanks to research by Peter Gillings ,
the Great War Memorial Board, that was transferred to the Assembly
Hall in 1938 when the Hall was built, has been tracked down to Retford
Oaks Academy. The Board was probably created at the end of 1917.

Hello John
Thank you for that update , I have tried to access the document on the on line search of the archive office but it does not recognise the number. As the archive is closed for renovation I will have to wait until spring to look at it.
Meanwhile I have been in touch with the Retford Oaks Academy ,( tried them yesterday but it was an inset day .) however found a very helpful lady there called Wendy who confirms the memorial is at that school and has sent me a picture of it in situ
I have asked to visit the school and have made arrangements to visit this Friday.
I will try and get the list from the picture, combined with your list and let you know what I come up with.
Thanks once again
Best wishes Peter (Gillings)
