• Search this list for the individuals you want, they may appear several times in different Censuses.
• The Date of Birth (DoB) given is calculated from the age declared in the Census, and helps identify individuals.Remember adult ages in the 1841 Census were usually rounded DOWN to the nearest multiple of 5. The author cannot be held responsible for false ages declared!
• Make a note of all the different Schedule numbers for that individual (eg 914j or 401a).
• Look up the Schedule References in the Census Listing, where you will find the complete household for that individual.
• Entries containing "?" were difficult or impossible to decipher.
• Surnames were often spelled slightly differently for the same individual
• For lack of space, Rooms and Gender have not been included.
